Timothy P. Whelan
Owner
Timothy P. Whelan is the owner and founding partner of Timothy Whelan Law Associates, Ltd., based in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. A dedicated attorney with over 40 years of legal experience, Tim has been licensed to practice law in Illinois since 1980 following his graduation from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago.
Tim has practiced law in DuPage County and the surrounding suburban courts for more than four decades. His firm offers a broad range of legal services, including civil litigation, family law, real estate, bankruptcy, and business transactions. A skilled trial attorney, Tim is licensed to practice in both Federal Court and Federal Bankruptcy Court.
Early in his career, Tim served as a DuPage County Assistant State’s Attorney, where he prosecuted thirteen jury trials to verdict. He later transitioned into private practice as a defense attorney, representing clients in traffic, misdemeanor, and felony cases.
In addition to his legal practice, Tim has been an active member of the legal community for over 37 years. He is a longstanding member of the DuPage County Bar Association and the Illinois State Bar Association, and he has twice been elected to the DCBA Board of Directors.
Committed to public service, Tim has served as an elected Forest Preserve Commissioner for DuPage County since 2012. He is also a member of several civic organizations, including the Knights of Columbus and the Wheaton Lions Club.
With deep roots in Wheaton and Glen Ellyn, where he has lived and worked for over 30 years, Tim brings a wealth of experience, dedication, and integrity to every client he serves.

Alison Morales
Alison Morales is an Associate Attorney at Timothy Whelan Law Associates, Ltd., where she brings dedication, compassion, and a strong commitment to client advocacy. Fluent in Spanish and deeply rooted in her community, Alison is passionate about making legal services accessible and responsive to the needs of diverse clients.
Alison earned her JD from DePaul University College of Law in 2024, where she was an active member of the Latino Law Student Association. Throughout her time at law school, Alison volunteered at Chicago Volunteer Legal Services where she worked as a 711 Student Attorney to make the legal community accessible to the Spanish speaking community. Her work in these settings reflects her ongoing commitment to social justice and community empowerment—values that continue to guide her in her legal practice today.
Alison is a member of the Hispanic Bar Association and the DuPage County Bar Association and focuses her practice on areas such as family law, civil litigation, and traffic matters, such as DUI. Whether assisting clients through complex legal challenges or guiding them through sensitive family law issues, Alison approaches every case with empathy, professionalism, and a steadfast dedication to achieving the best possible outcomes.
